The biggest shortcut is to use millet flakes instead of whole millet. They don’t need rinsing or long cooking and the purée is smoother after blending. If you’re cooking in bulk, divide the purée into small containers right after cooling; it keeps in the fridge for 24 hours.

You can replace part of the water with some bottled baby water depending on what the child is used to.For a thinner consistency, add 1 to 3 tablespoons of boiled warm water after blending.Older children can have a tablespoon of plain yogurt stirred into the finished purée if they already eat dairy products.When the pear is very juicy, start with only 150 ml of water and add the rest according to thickness.
