How to prepair homemade ketchup

  1. 1 Prepare the tomatoes: First, chop the ripe tomatoes into pieces. Heat olive oil in a pot and add the chopped onion. Fry over medium heat until the onion softens and turns golden brown.
  2. 2 Add garlic: Then add crushed garlic and fry for another minute until the aroma is released.
  3. 3 Add the tomatoes: Now, add the chopped tomatoes to the pot and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 30 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
  4. 4 Add vinegar and spices: Add apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, ground black pepper, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves to the mixture. Stir and let it cook for another 15 minutes.
  5. 5 Blending: After cooking, let the mixture cool slightly, then blend it until smooth using an immersion blender. If the ketchup is too thick, add a little water.
  6. 6 Final adjustment: Pass the ketchup through a fine sieve to make it perfectly smooth. Then transfer it to clean jars and let it cool completely.
  7. 7 Serve: Store the ketchup in the refrigerator and consume within one month. Enjoy your homemade ketchup with your favorite dishes!
